About UAN University
The United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations - University (UAN-U) is the academic and research arm of the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations, dedicated to resolving global challenges through the fusion of ancestral wisdom and modern scholarship. As a think tank and degree-granting institution, UAN-U offers postgraduate programs focused on three core themes: peace and governance, global development and inclusion, and environment, climate, and energy. Through collaborative research, policy engagement, and a network of campuses across twelve countries, we generate actionable knowledge to serve Indigenous nations and humanity at large.
UAN-U bridges traditional knowledge keepers and academic institutions, offering accredited degrees alongside land-based and ceremonial learning. Our partnerships with universities, Indigenous councils, and research institutes worldwide empower communities to preserve and apply ancestral knowledge systems. By integrating rigorous scholarship with cultural integrity, we decolonize education and prioritize elder-led research, sacred sciences, and Indigenous leadership development—equipping generations to address crises with ancestral clarity.
As the first global university guided by natural law, UAN-U transcends conventional academia. We disseminate vital research, strengthen institutional capacities, and steward endangered wisdom as a sacred duty to past, present, and future peoples. Our mission is not merely to educate, but to rebalance knowledge systems and advance solutions rooted in Earth’s timeless harmony.
"Where the fire of ancient wisdom lights the path forward."
Our Objectives
Pursue Policy-Relevant Programming
UAN-U will deepen its commitment to policy impact by embedding evidence-based research into the core of its academic mission. This involves not only analyzing policy gaps but proactively shaping global agendas through strategic partnerships with governments, Indigenous councils, and multilateral institutions.
Invest in a Dynamic, Innovative, and Diverse Institutional Culture
UAN-U will cultivate a thriving intellectual ecosystem by fostering cross-generational mentorship between elder wisdom keepers and emerging scholars. The University will implement a Diversity Accord, guaranteeing gender parity in leadership roles and reserving 50% of research fellowships for Indigenous scholars.
Strengthen Collaboration, Communications, and Visibility
UAN-U will activate its global network through a Digital Longhouse Initiative, a decentralized platform connecting all campuses, affiliated institutes, and Indigenous communities for real-time knowledge exchange. The University will prioritize "storytelling as scholarship", training scholars to communicate findings through oral traditions and immersive media.
Strive for Financial Sustainability Across UAN-U’s Architecture
The University will implement a Sacred Reciprocity Funding Model, blending modern philanthropy with Indigenous resource-sharing principles. This includes Endowment Partnerships, Knowledge-Exchange Trusts, and Community-Governed Microgrants to ensure transparent allocation aligned with UAN-U’s Seven Generations Fiscal Policy.
Thematic Expansion of UAN-U's Academic Work
Guided by the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations' sacred mandate, UAN-U's academic framework weaves ancestral wisdom systems with contemporary scholarship across three vital thematic areas.
1. Peace and Security Through Indigenous Governance
UAN-U redefines conflict resolution by centering Traditional Peacemaking Protocols. Our Warrior-Scholar Initiative trains mediators in both UAN conflict frameworks and ceremonial peace practices, while our Sacred Sites Protection Program addresses geopolitical tensions through spiritual land stewardship.
2. Social Change and Economic Development Rooted in Reciprocity
We pioneer Ceremonial Economics, blending modern development theory with Indigenous gift-exchange systems. The Decolonizing Wealth Project partners with central banks to design alternative currencies honoring sacred exchange values.
3. Environment, Climate and Energy as Sacred Responsibility
UAN-U's Original Instructions Climate Lab synthesizes 10,000 years of Indigenous ecological knowledge with satellite data and AI modeling. We offer the world's first graduate program in Traditional Ecological Law, training "Earth Jurists" to defend nature's rights.
Cross-Cutting Innovation
- Lands-Based Learning: Degree programs requiring immersion in Indigenous communities.
- Two-Eyed Peer Review: Research validation by both academic and traditional councils.
- Wisdom Translation Labs: Converting findings into policy/practice formats for diverse audiences.
"We don't study problems - we activate ancestral solutions."
